Delete your Raka account

You can permanently delete your Raka account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what (if anything) we keep.

Option 1: Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest way and we recommend it.

1. Open Raka on your phone.
2. Tap the You tab (bottom right).
3. Tap Settings (top right of the You screen).
4. Scroll down to the red Delete account permanently button.
5. Confirm. The deletion is irreversible.

Option 2: Email us

If you've lost access to your device or can't open the app, email us at support@raka.app with the subject line "Account deletion request". Include the email address you used to sign in (if you signed in with Apple or Google). We'll process the request within 7 days.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following are permanently and irreversibly erased:

• Your profile (name, date of birth, pronouns, focus areas, guidance tone, birth place / time)
• All chat messages with Raka
• All tarot pulls and readings
• All journal entries (including any voice-transcribed entries)
• Synchronicity log entries
• Tarot course progress
• Subscription tier record stored on your device
• Your push notification token and any associated delivery preferences (removed from our Cloudflare KV namespace)
• Your authentication token (you are signed out)

What is kept (and why)

The following data is not deleted by an account deletion, because we either never had it or are legally required to keep some record of it:

• Subscription billing records — handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat under their own retention policies. To cancel a subscription, do so through your Apple ID or Google Play account.
• AI prompts already sent to Anthropic / OpenAI / ElevenLabs / Replicate — these third parties have their own data retention policies (linked in our Privacy Policy). Most discard inference inputs within 30 days.
• Cloudflare request logs — anonymized server logs (IP address, timestamp) are retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention, then automatically deleted.

We do not retain any other personally identifiable information after account deletion.

Retention period

In-app and Cloudflare-hosted deletions are immediate. Backups (Cloudflare-side) are rotated out within 7 days.
